I have worked in Wichita as a Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years. My early life career attempts included music and photography. My first degree was in Music Therapy, which was funded by work as an advertising photographer before the age of digital magic. I eventually obtained a PhD in Clinical Psychology and completed my internship and a post-doctoral fellowship at the KU Medical School in Wichita. In mental health, my experiences range from supervision group homes to court assessments to individual and family therapy. In recent years my emphasis has been individual and couples therapy and also working with those in the later years of the life journey. I have strong interest in how to work with people from a faith perspective, walking along side in the spirit of mercy, gentleness, truth, and looking for authentic freedom with liberating responsibility.
Key aspects of my work might be summarized by the questions: Who do you want to be, who are you called to be, and how can we move toward those? My favorite metaphor of therapy is: “A therapist is like a midwife, although intimately involved in the process, once the baby is born these is no question whose it is.”
I have three adult children and a supportive wife of 35 years who has poured out patience and wisdom. My hobbies include photography, writing about faith and the walk of life as well as some fiction, and listening to music ranging from Palestrina to Michael Card to Tony Bennett to Chick Corea. Humor, both dark and light, are gifts of the flexibility of life, mind, and humble truth to find “Joy in the Journey” and trust in God’s grace.

I am not currently accepting new clients. When I am able, I am a preferred provider with Blue Cross and Blue Shield standard Medicare B. I do not work with Advantage Plans for Medicare any longer.
